Editorial & Review Policy

This policy explains how Impact Tech Solutions prepares and maintains public calculators, practice exams, toolbox talks and educational HSE content.
1. Source-first methodology
Where a topic depends on a regulation, standard, regulator method or official rate, the page should point users to a primary or authoritative source wherever practical. Secondary summaries may help explain a concept, but they should not replace the controlling source.
2. Calculator checks
- State the intended use and main assumptions.
- Explain the formula or method in plain language where feasible.
- Describe important limitations and cases that need competent-person review.
- Keep units and time bases explicit.
- Link to current primary guidance for safety, tax or engineering topics.
3. Practice-exam checks
- Make the scope and intended audience crawlable in normal HTML, not only inside JavaScript.
- Label the material as independent practice rather than official certification.
- Use rationales to teach concepts instead of only revealing an answer.
- Reference the current regulator or standards body when appropriate.
4. Toolbox-talk checks
- Each talk should connect the topic to a realistic hazard mechanism and field check.
- Supervisors are encouraged to adapt examples to the actual task and site.
- Site procedures, manufacturer instructions and local law take priority over general awareness text.
5. Authorship and credentials
We do not fabricate named authors, reviewers, certifications or years of experience. Organization-level attribution is used when a verified individual byline is not available. If a named technical reviewer is added later, their real qualification and review date should be displayed.
6. Update and correction policy
Pages are updated when formulas, references, rates, legal requirements or material explanations change. Corrections can be reported to info@impacttechsol.com. High-risk pages should be rechecked whenever the primary source changes.
